We do not live in Boulder but were visiting for the summer and had our Honda Odyssey transmission fail on us. I took it to one local place and the charge was going to be around $3500. I then found Sean and the Shop Stop and he quoted me a price of $1,500. The work was done in a timely fashion and while I needed to take it back once for one issue Sean fixed that issue within one day.
I highly recommend Sean's work. His pricing is very good. Anybody in Boulder or Longmont who needs work done on transmissions or anything else would be well served to use his services.

Even though they say their specialty is transmissions, The Shop Stop helps with smaller tasks, like helping me install a boost gauge in my Subaru WRX. The staff offered advice for the location to mount the gauge and explained the installation process step-by-step. They understand that when you know how something functions, you are able to appreciate it more.
When finished I asked what WRX enthusiasts usually do as their first performance upgrade, and they suggested a better exhaust system. They even said they would contact their suppliers (every mechanic has them) to find a good deal on a cat-back system.
In the end, I now have a fully-functional boost gauge, a better understanding of how everything works under my car’s hood, and a few ideas to think about for my next project. I’ll definitely be back!

"My family and I have known your wife, Brigett, for a long time but never got a chance to meet you until I came over to ask for a tool (or something) to break a rusted bolt loose so I could replace my front brakes. Instead of just lending me something, or even just breaking it loose for me, you replaced my brakes for no charge! It was amazingly fast and I have had no problem with them!
Thank goodness we have not had auto problems since then since we, like so many others, are living on the edge, but you are our mechanic from now on. We are generally always broke but the least I could do is to create this page for you. Others should very seriously consider your shop in south Longmont for auto and particularly transmission work.
